June 15 - Jefferson City to Tebbetts, MO - Rest Day

Very nice stay in Jefferson City with my wife Susi. After a Fathers Day lunch she dropped me off in Tebbetts, 12 miles down the road. It's humid and it didn't make sense to get sweaty for so few miles. Besides, my legs could use the rest. I'm at the Turner Katy Trail Shelter. Had a cool refreshment and a very nice visit with Dawn and Terry Phillips who run the P4 Pub and Grub here in Tebbetts. Highly recommended if ever in the area. I also visited and toured Terry's uncle Jim's garage. Jim buys and restores antique cars. I will add a photo of Bob who sits in guard of the garage. Great visit. In fact Terry and Dawn brought me dinner later on. How gracious.

The family from CO that I met 2 days ago in Franklin arrived at the shelter to spend the night. Their girls seem to be having an awesome time. They are making their way to St. Charles trying to average 25 miles a day. They have arranged for a shuttle to return them to Franklin on Friday.
Tomorrow I'm off to the City Park in Marthasville 55 miles away.
